From the Jewish Advocate:
Israel rally could draw hundreds to Brookline
Christians and Jews United for Israel are organizing a Jerusalem Day rally for May 20 to mark the anniversary of when Israel regained control of the eastern part of the city in 1967.
The group’s last Jerusalem Day rally, in 2010, drew 500 supporters, and a small group of protestors, said Fumio Taku, president of CJUI. Taku said his group plans to make the rally an annual event. In Israel, Jerusalem Day is a national holiday.
“It’s very important that we honor the cultural and religious background of all people,” said Taku, who is from Japan. “I think it is very important, particularly in this community with large Christian and Jewish populations, to come together to celebrate it.”
The rally will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday in front of Congregation Keh
illath Israel in Brookline.

It is sponsored by CJUI and the Russian Jewish Community Foundation, and co-sponsored by 35 organizations, including many churches and synagogues.
